University Housing Facilities is seeking Custodian Leads to maintain safe and clean spaces for residents, staff, and guests. This role involves coordinating tasks, providing leadership, and assisting with training for new staff members within a fast-paced environment focused on high quality standards and exceptional customer service. Custodian Leads work with residents, students, staff, and guests across the UW-Madison campus. University Housing Facilities is part of the Division of University Housing at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, responsible for comprehensive facilities operations including housekeeping, mechanical maintenance, infrastructure repairs, and capital planning for both undergraduate and graduate student housing. This includes 30 residence hall buildings (2 million square feet, housing 8,000 undergraduates and 18,000 summer guests) and 1,240 University Apartments (housing 2,500 residents across 80 acres). The department supports various functions such as classrooms, offices, dining operations, and event spaces, and emphasizes a flexible team approach to support operations throughout the year.
