About The Position

The Department of Buildings & General Services (BGS) is seeking a Custodian III. This position will be part of a team that will be taking care of daily cleaning duties of state owned or leased buildings and facilities at the Vermont Agriculture and Environmental Laboratory (VAEL) and Royalton State Police Barracks. This position will function as a team lead and will plan, organize, and direct work for a crew of building custodians. Additionally, this position will participate in hiring and evaluating custodial employees, training employees on new work methods and procedures, and may oversee or participate in snow removal, grounds keeping, and recycling. Position requires successful completion of background checks and a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a fingerprint supported background check. The hours are Monday through Friday from 6am to to 2:30pm.
