Under the direct supervision of the Director of Maintenance and Operations, performs general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds; maintains equipment in functional condition; and provide a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and community members. Effectively utilize necessary equipment to perform essential custodial job functions Unload, transport and maintain equipment, materials and supplies Assist with district and community activity/event set up and clean up Perform seasonal duties including lawn/landscape care and snow removal Promote good safety practices Uses hand tools of trade and related power equipment, including brooms, mops, floor cleaning and waxing machines, vacuum cleaners, snow removal equipment, power mower and hand tools Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper use of tools and power equipment used in the performance of duties and the myriad of other duties as delineated in the Custodial II job description Occasional requirement to lift and carry various items weighing a minimum of 30 pounds Occasional requirement to push and pull up to a maximum of 300 pounds (on wheels)
