About The Position

CUSTODIAN I WHAT YOU WILL DO: “Quality & Safety are Top Comar Priorities” Carry out the plants cleaning program, adhering to defined cleaning schedules/procedures. Document results of cleaning in IQ work order system. Maintain inventory of cleaning supply cabinets/stations. Identify potential contamination risks and bring them to the attention of the Supervisor. May fill in for machine operator during short break periods as directed by Supervisor. Be able to effectively operate equipment as required. Communicate with management to establish priorities based on company needs. Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Disinfect walls throughout facility; using ladders when required. Clean, dust and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors throughout facility. Operate floor cleaning machines. Repair scratch damage to the warehouse and production floor as needed. Empty wastebaskets and trash containers; empty and clean outside cigarette urns. Clean and sanitize all restrooms, refill restroom dispensers. Maintain recycling by emptying and cleaning out containers daily. Monitor cleaning supplies in closet and report shortages. Outdoor work may be required at times. Aware of general equipment hazards and follow and utilize all applicable safety features. Understand the location and purpose of Safety Data Sheets. Attend to emergencies when necessary. Aware of the first aid supplies location. Wear company issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, hairnets, earplugs. Other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities & Skills for our Cleanroom sites include: Perform cleaning duties within the plant and office areas, including maintaining compliance for cleanroom requirements. Perform duties that will affect the overall appearance of facility, while maintaining a high level of cleanliness as a medical facility. Complete precise cleaning and disinfecting of cleanrooms, controlled environments, and equipment according to procedures and regulations; including following cleanroom hygiene procedures and wearing cleanroom garments. Meticulous cleaning, hand wiping, and disinfecting of materials within cleanroom areas. Preferred: Previous experience in related functions in an ISO 9001/13485 environment and prior cleanroom cleaning experience. Additional Responsibilities & Skills for our SQF Certified Sites: Have a basic understanding of the cGMPs and Good Hygiene Personnel Practices Notify SQF Practitioner and/or Supervisor of any repairs or adjustments that are required Perform Basic Sanitation Functions Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, and or Regulatory Requirements / standards as prioritized by the Company, HACCP, and SQF. Notify SQF Practitioner/Quality Manager or any other Management personnel of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues. Identify problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the raw material, processes, quality system, or safety system, by performing Production/Quality Checks as assigned. Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system. Be able to execute and follow the HOLD SOP. Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. Employee follows all Food Fraud/food Defense Policies while on company property. Thorough understanding of all Company policies, including GMP’s and safety policies, HACCP & SQF. Safety and Cleanliness Adhere to safety policies. Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor. Wear company issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as uniforms, gloves, hairnets.
