Requirements

• General knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Mature judgment and ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Be a U.S. Citizen.
• Valid state driver’s license with excellent driving record (must provide current driving record).
• Must be able to pass a background investigation.
• Work is performed mostly indoors, with some outdoor work required when directed.
• Work hours are subject to change, with overtime, nights, weekends, and/or holiday work as needed.
• Subject to hazards that may cause personal bodily harm; diseases, cuts, bruises, burns, common colds, influenza, dust odors, and elevated noise levels.
• Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard, and soft-carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces, and elevated levels using ladders.
• Occasionally required to stand and/or walk for long periods, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of Janitorial experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Able to do a variety of tasks on any single day.
• Plan, organize work, and meet all deadlines.
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and related fixtures, including drinking fountains, refrigerated water coolers, custodial mop sinks, restroom sinks, urinals, and toilets.
• Replenish supplies in restrooms.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip and polish floors and equipment.
• Dust high and low areas and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
• Wash windows (both interior and exterior), mirrors, and walls, which may require the use of ladders.
• Clean and polish tables and chairs as required.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles.
• Move and arrange furniture and equipment for cleaning and replace when completed.
• Clean window blinds, either Venetian or vertical, as required.
• Identify and report building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.
• Perform specialized projects such as restoration programs on floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, and other items.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Ensure timely, cost-effective performance of duties.
• Complete and ensure accuracy of all work in a timely manner.
• Adhere to contract requirements and CSEL policies.
• Work closely and harmoniously with fellow workers.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations.
• Timely reporting of accidents, injuries, 'near-miss', and hazardous situations.
