About The Position

The position involves routine cleaning, sanitation, and general upkeep of the building. The individual will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in various areas, including meeting rooms, bathrooms, and the gym. The role requires following specific sanitation procedures and using cleaning chemicals as directed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Experience in or ability to learn general building maintenance
  • Flexibility and a cooperative spirit are crucial characteristics of the individual who holds this important position

Responsibilities

  • Keep building clean
  • Provide routine cleaning, sanitation and general upkeep
  • Clean, dust furniture, sweep, mop or vacuum floors
  • Empty/clean wastebaskets, trash containers, pick up recycled paper, replace light bulbs, and refill restroom dispensers
  • Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow and debris from sidewalks
  • Keep inventory of all cleaning supplies and inform Office Manager
  • Prepare all meeting rooms and set up for programs, as directed
  • Clean glass doors and windows
  • Clean gym floor as needed
  • Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed
  • Follow building sanitation procedures
  • Clean bathrooms daily
  • Vacuum chapel weekly or as needed. Dust furnishings weekly
  • Clean kitchen as needed and instructed
  • Move furniture, equipment and tools, as needed. Open all locked offices to be cleaned, shut off coffee pots
  • Perform other related duties within the scope of the position
