About The Position
The Custodian position at Eureka High School Quadrant involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to support the mission of the Rockwood R-6 School District. Once custodial training is completed, the custodian will be assigned to one of several buildings within the Eureka Quadrant, which includes Eureka High School, LaSalle Springs Middle School, and several elementary schools. The role is essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for students and staff, ensuring that all areas are properly cleaned and maintained according to established procedures. The custodian will be responsible for a range of duties including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming various floor surfaces, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, and monitoring the halls and grounds. The position requires the custodian to keep the building secure, facilitate school functions by setting up and cleaning, and perform general upkeep of the exterior of the building. Additionally, the custodian will be expected to remove snow and ice from walkways, ensuring safe access to the school during winter months. This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift and move equipment and supplies, climb ladders, and perform cleaning procedures throughout the assigned location. The custodian will also need to report work periods accurately and assist in preparing reports on work-related injuries when necessary. The role is full-time, with a standard benefit package that begins on the first date of employment, including paid medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
