About The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide a clean and safe environment in a variety of buildings at the airport. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sweeps, vacuums, and mops the floors of the terminal, offices, conference and training rooms, and kitchen, dusts furniture, walls, windowsills, and/or woodwork in the terminal, offices, conferences and training rooms, and kitchen. Cleans restrooms in the terminal and in the airplane hangars using proper cleaning solutions and personal protection; fills tissue, towel and soap dispensers. Shops for batteries, office supplies, hardware, maintenance, and/or kitchen supplies. Conducts inventory and order janitorial supplies. Assists in other departments with a variety of duties as needed. Supplemental Functions: Performs other similar duties as required. Job Specifications and Qualifications: Knowledge: Cleaning methods and procedures; Basic cleaning solutions and chemicals; Prioritizing work; Cleaning equipment and preventative maintenance. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Positions in this class require: standing, walking, lifting, carrying, sitting, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, climbing, vision, foot controls, balancing, bending, crouching, hearing, twisting, talking Medium Work: Exerting 20 - 50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly. Incumbents may be subjected to extreme temperature, wetness and/or humidity, respiratory hazards, physical hazards.
