About The Position

We are seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational standards within a secure DOE building. This role is critical to supporting the mission by ensuring a clean, orderly, and secure environment for staff and visitors.

Requirements

• Active or recently active DOE Q Clearance required
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• US Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitization of offices, restrooms, hallways, production areas and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain a high standard of cleanliness
• Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins; ensure proper disposal in compliance with DOE protocols
• Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and sanitizers
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently as needed (e.g., floor buffers, carpet cleaners)
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security concerns promptly
• Follow DOE security procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times
