The Custodian position at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is a part-time role focused on maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. This position is essential for ensuring a welcoming environment for students, staff, faculty, and the community. The role primarily operates on the 2nd shift, with occasional shifts on the 1st or 3rd shift based on event schedules.

Clean offices, performance spaces, dance rooms, restrooms, and other building areas.
Maintain all floor surfaces, including mopping, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, and refinishing.
Clean windows (inside and outside).
Clean furniture.
Assist with furniture, piano, and equipment moves.
Stock restrooms and custodial work areas with necessary supplies and products.
Remove waste and recycling.
Perform snow removal and salting of building entrances.
Drive a state vehicle and travel between work locations.

High School Diploma or equivalent at time of application.
Possession of or eligibility to obtain a valid driver's license upon appointment.
Ability to perform basic computer functions including internet browsing and e-mail.

Bilingual, preferably in Spanish, Hmong, Somali, or Oneida.
Knowledge of the proper methods, materials, and equipment for a wide range of general custodian work.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as a vacuum cleaner or a floor scrubber.
Knowledge of basic safety precautions including the safe and proper use of toxic chemicals.
Ability to tolerate temperature extremes when performing snow removal activities.
