This is a full-time position located at the Office State Museums The purpose of this position is to ensure that the museum complexes and adjacent grounds are maintained in a clean, orderly, and safe condition. This position is trained for the proper use of chemicals and cleaning equipment. This position supervises and trains outside contracts and volunteers with the museum's cleaning procedures and protocol making sure that they adhere to Museum Standards. This position has to perform daily duties that expose them to the public in and around the museum complexes, many times dealing with blood borne pathogens. The Louisiana State Museum's collections and educational programs stimulate awareness and appreciation of our state's rich and diverse history and culture.
