About The Position

Perform a variety of tasks involving the overall care of the buildings and grounds. Direct, coordinate and participate in the cleaning, repairing, and maintenance of District buildings, District grounds, and heating/cooling plants. Lead summer work projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test
  • The ability to work from heights of up to 30 feet
  • Thorough understanding of custodial equipment
  • Thorough knowledge of custodial work, including the use of cleaning methods and materials
  • General construction or maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems
  • One year of experience in work relating to the care and maintenance of buildings and grounds
