The Custodial Zone Coordinator will plan and organize custodial services ensuring attractive, clean, and safe facilities in which to learn and work.
Ensures all custodial tasks and standards are accomplished within the assigned zone as prescribed in the Custodial Handbook.
Directs workflow, distribution, and productivity by providing the Head Custodians instruction, support, and direction.
Coordinates with the Head Custodians in assigning individual custodial work zones, tasks, and schedules to be accomplished within the individual buildings/sites.
Explains priorities for completion of individual tasks and special projects to Head Custodians and individual custodians.
Resolves problems associated with school/site assignments and disagreements.
Ensures safe working conditions for students, faculty, and staff.
Trains and instructs custodial staff in proper and safe ways to perform custodial services and the state operation and maintenance of equipment.
Reviews custodial work to ensure compliance with standards.
Prepares Head Custodians' performance evaluations and assists them in preparing individual custodians' performance evaluations.
Maintains records of employees' hours worked and inventories of supplies/materials at the sites.
Reviews labor processes to ensure the accuracy of tasks, material use, and labor expended.
Assists in the development of assignments, schedules, and calendars.
Performs daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections.
Keeps accurate records and reports.
Assists the Custodial Services Supervisor in conducting, recording, and correcting Environmental Reviews.
Able to comprehend and expedite given instructions.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Five (5) years of work-related experience required.
Two (2) years of supervisory experience required.
Considerable knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, cleaning agents, and related products and their possible reactions.
Must have a valid Georgia Driver's license and a good driving record; Class B endorsement preferred.
Experience in Google and Microsoft Office Suite.
