About The Position

The Custodial Worker is responsible for supporting the daily cleaning and sanitation of the school to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.
This is a hands-on role focused on completing assigned cleaning tasks with consistency and attention to detail, ensuring all areas of the building are clean, stocked, and ready for daily use.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently

Nice To Haves

• Previous custodial, facilities, or cleaning experience
• Experience working in schools or similar environments
• Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of:
• Classrooms
• Offices
• Restrooms
• Hallways and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
• Remove trash and replace liners
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and high-touch surfaces
• Assist with setup and breakdown of spaces as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of entryways and designated exterior areas
• Restock cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when inventory is low
• Follow proper handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Respond to spills, safety concerns, or urgent cleaning needs
• Support maintaining a safe and sanitary environment throughout the building
