About The Position
Regions Hospital is seeking a positive and cheerful Custodial Worker II to join our team! We are looking for honest, hardworking individuals who are driven to help others. This position is responsible for maintaining all areas of the hospital according to established procedures, including critical areas such as Operating Rooms, Labor and Delivery, Cath Lab, Emergency Room, and Burn Unit. Custodial Workers play a vital role in providing a clean and safe environment for patients to receive care and for staff to provide care effectively. The Custodial Worker II will operate all floor care equipment and large carpet extractors, ensuring that all surfaces are clean and sanitary. This role also involves moving supplies throughout the hospital and occasionally moving light equipment or furniture as per departmental setup requests. The position requires performing a variety of environmental services and cleaning duties to help maintain the hospital in a clean and sanitary condition. Additionally, the Custodial Worker may be assigned other duties as needed to support the hospital's operations. The work schedule for this position is part-time, with a Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) of 0.5, translating to 20 hours weekly, primarily during the night shift. This role is essential in ensuring that the hospital environment remains conducive to patient care and staff efficiency.
