About The Position

Do you have a passion for cleaning and curiosity about working with heavy equipment? We are currently seeking a 3rd Shift Custodial Utility Cast Member to work at Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts! In this role, we use specialized equipment such as pressure washers, hosing, leaf blowers, sweeper trucks, pickup trucks, box trucks, forklifts, rider vacuum cleaners, and lifts. For everyday activity this may include pressure washing, removing debris from waterways, cleaning fountains, scrubbing exterior walls of buildings, cleaning high reach windows, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, cleaning/extracting carpets with portable mounts, pressure washing concrete and other surfaces, recycling, and cleaning hazardous spills. Utility Cast may also be required to perform regular custodial duties such as cleaning tables, emptying trashcans, cleaning restrooms, using chemicals, sweeping and general area cleaning. Full-Time requires full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights and holidays. Full Time Cast Members will work at least 32 hours per week. Part-Time requires full availability for any shift, any three (3) days per week, including nights and holidays. Part-Time Cast Members will work between 0 hours to 24 hours per week. Third shift positions may begin working after 10:00 pm or later like 3:00 am or 4:00 am. The pay rate for this role in Florida is $19.40 per hour. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a US driver's license to be able to drive company vehicles and operating heavy machinery
  • Excellent communication skills to be able communicate using a radio and/or cellular phone
  • Receptive to working daily third shifts hours
  • Ability to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in tight spaces utilizing respiratory personal protection equipment
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Initiative-taking, good judgment, and high level of responsibility

Nice To Haves

  • Previous construction worker experience
  • Previous commercial and specialized cleaning equipment experience
  • Previous experience using heavy-duty equipment

Responsibilities

  • Capable of operating a 2500- 4000 PSI pressure washer with water temperatures up to 190°F to clean concrete and other surfaces
  • Ability to pull and move up to 150' of wash down hose (hosing) utilized to clean walkways throughout the area daily
  • Be able to be using a 500 -750-gallon water tanker trailer to washdown backstage pathways/roads
  • Operate vehicles and heavy-duty equipment such as Forklifts, Highreach, Genie Lift, Scissor lift, Pallet Jacks, Leaf blowers, Sweeper trucks/ Scrubber, Water Tanker trucks, and Utility Trailers
  • Heavy equipment includes Steam machine, T-300 walk behind scrubber; floor scrubber, Kaivac machine, Ecolab Caddy, T-2 (battery powered walk behind floor scrubber), trash baler, recycling bin tipper, soft plastic baler and more
  • Towing various heavy-duty equipment with vehicles navigating narrow areas
  • Filling equipment and gas cans (propane, mixed, diesel, gasoline)
  • Cleaning environmental spills and dumpsters pads
  • Maintain the cleanliness of building facades, decorative fountains, basins, and bodies of water
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in different terrains, such as railroad tracks, attractions, and water banks, which may involve removing debris from these areas, including roadway, waterway, and bodies of water
  • Ability to safely operate varied sizes of high reach equipment, must be comfortable working at different heights during the cleaning process
  • Ability to work in tight spaces utilizing respiratory personal protection equipment
  • Cleaning and extracting carpets with portable, small carpet extractors or trailer mount units
  • Window Washer - Window washing is a utility function defined as cleaning windows at various heights, utilizing typical professional window washing tools which may include, but not limited to squeegee, scrub wand and brush
  • Maintain the cleanliness of tunnels (if applicable) by utilizing a tunnel scrubber
  • Physical role requiring heavy lifting, walking, pushing, pulling, standing during your entire shift, bending twisting, repetitive movements, and kneeling
