About The Position

The Utility Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and general upkeep of buildings and grounds at Fowler Middle School. This part-time position focuses on providing a safe, comfortable, and clean environment for students, staff, and the community, primarily during evening hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups.
• Time management skills to efficiently complete assignments.
• Valid Oregon or Washington driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets and follow instructions on chemicals and equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in custodial work or related field.

Responsibilities

• Determine and use proper PPE to reduce exposure to hazards.
• Perform all aspects of cleaning including floor care, painting, disinfecting, and general grounds work.
• Adhere to assigned schedules and directions from Team Leader/Building Specialist.
• Monitor and clean up after building use activities, ensuring proper setup and security of the school.
• Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance in accordance with District guidelines.
• Ensure energy conservation practices are followed.
