About The Position

The Custodial Staff position is a part-time, hourly role focused on the general cleaning and upkeep of various areas within the facility. This includes common spaces, restrooms, service support areas, offices, banquet halls, theaters, meeting rooms, and other designated areas. The role requires a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff.

Requirements

• Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays may be required due to the varied nature of events.
• Must be able to work independently as well as direct work efforts of others.
• Ability to read and follow directions is a must.
• Ability to bend, twist, and lift 25 lbs regularly is required.
• Must be able to follow proper work procedures and safety requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform simple repairs is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning public areas including restrooms, elevators, stairs, glass railings, windows, and other general cleaning tasks as needed.
• General cleaning of employee areas and service support areas.
• Vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in all areas.
• Floor maintenance including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing and other floor tasks as needed.
• Completing custodial checklists as necessary.
• Ensuring proper use and care of cleaning equipment and machines.
• Working with and directing work efforts of part-time/temporary personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
