About The Position

The Custodial Squad Leader is responsible for leading and directing a team in various custodial tasks, including cleaning, building maintenance, event setups, and pest control. This role requires physical labor and the ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and recycling procedures. The position is based in Hanover, NH, and is a full-time, onsite role.

Requirements

• High School diploma plus 12 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of experience related to custodial work.
• Proven ability to lead staff and communicate effectively with diverse customers.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and provide work directions.
• Knowledge of safe use of various cleaning chemicals and insect control methods.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor, including lifting and carrying objects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a custodial squad in cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Perform medium to heavy lifting activities inside and outside various college facilities.
• Implement recycling procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Train staff in the use of cleaning equipment and custodial work processes.
• Set up for events and manage table/chair arrangements as needed.
• Operate and maintain heavy industrial cleaning equipment and hand tools.
