EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Custodial Shift Supervisor, Monday – Friday 2:00pm – 10:30pm, at our National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) project in College Park, MD (NARA II)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial cleaning required in high profile facilities.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Work Lead.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams with 10+ employees.
  • Experience and knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
  • Basic understanding of the upkeep, care and safe operation of motorized equipment used for cleaning i.e. auto scrubber, buffer, snow blower, trash compactor, genie lift, pressure washer, box compactor, sweeper, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents in English.
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • Must be proficient in computer/iPad use, using a smart phone, and video conferencing.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to work a schedule of schedule is M – F; 2:00pm – 10:30pm, with flexibility to work weekends or extended hours as needed

Nice To Haves

  • ISSA (International Sanitary Supply Association) or equivalent training desired.
  • Ability to read and understand Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules, direct work, and training EMCOR custodial staff, as needed.
  • Inspects work, generates reports, presents information to Custodial Manager/Supervisor.
  • Ensure and promote a safe working environment.
  • Consistently displays a prominent level of customer service and professionalism.
  • Completes all duties listed on the daily schedule and ensures daily upkeep of assigned areas and equipment.
  • Holds subordinate staff accountable to tasks and schedules.
  • Will oversee coaching, mentoring and disciplinary action, as needed.
  • Ensures equipment, building and property are secure during shift and reports incidents and hazardous conditions to senior management.
  • Develop purchase requests for cleaning supplies/equipment, manage inventory.
  • Utilizes Microsoft Office Applications
  • Utilizes computer/iPad use, using a smart phone, and video conferencing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
