About The Position

The Custodial Project Manager is responsible for the overall management, performance, and compliance of janitorial services across multiple contract locations. This role ensures services are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, company standards, and customer expectations. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for employees and the COR, while maintaining accountability for staffing, quality control, reporting, and operational continuity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years’ mid-level management experience
  • Knowledge of janitorial best practices
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiar with Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage time and tasks independently
  • Must demonstrate forward thinking, excellent communication skills and a high level of customer service
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and accountability in all interactions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • For extended periods of time may be required to stand or walk; push or pull heavy equipment. Considerable reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing multiple sites preferred
  • Familiarity with Army Reserve Units preferred

Responsibilities

  • Contract Operations Management
  • Oversee weekly custodial operations across multiple assigned locations
  • Ensure all services are performed at a minimum frequency of once per week, or as required by contact
  • Track, coordinate, and execute all required annual and semi-annual custodial tasks in accordance with contract requirements and established schedules
  • Provide coverage for janitorial services during employee call-outs, vacancies, or unforeseen circumstances to ensure uninterrupted service and continued compliance with contract requirements
  • Quality Control & Compliance
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with contract requirements and company quality standards
  • Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions in a timely and documented manner
  • Ensure all required documentation is maintained onsite, such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and blank service tickets.
  • Maintain accurate records to support contract compliance and audits
  • Report hazards, incidents, or compliance concerns promptly
  • Workforce Management
  • Communicate regularly with custodial staff to provide direction, support, and accountability
  • Ensure employees are properly completing and submitting service tickets after each service
  • Review and approve employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness
  • Address performance issues through coaching, corrective actions, and personnel management process
  • Communication
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the government COR and the company operations team
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns, and service requests
  • Collect, review, and track service tickets to ensure all work is documented and aligned with expectations.
  • Submit monthly batches of service tickets to operations team
  • Inventory and Supply Management
  • Track inventory levels of supplies and equipment across all locations
  • Submit supply orders to company operations team in a timely manner to prevent service disruption
  • Ensure janitorial closets are properly stocked, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed
