The Custodial Manager I performs moderately complex (journey-level) custodial supervisory work, providing general guidance and direction to their assigned team of custodians. They perform Quality Control inspections of housekeeping services to assigned buildings, checking for appropriate use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Reports unsafe conditions and provides feedback on unit(s) cleanliness, housekeeping/maintenance needs, and supply inventory. Actively participates in the hiring, training, and performance management of assigned team. Ensures the unit(s) is ready for inspection by internal and external agencies. Supervises the work of others. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
