About The Position

Seeking a Custodial Lead to lead our janitorial team in succession with the shift supervisor. This position is a working supervisor and involves cleaning. In addition, the position will be responsible for assisting in planning, organizing and developing the overall operation of the housekeeping department assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times. Other responsibilities include: Training staff Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs. Clean and sanitize bathrooms. Clean sinks and countertops Restock supplies in bathrooms and common areas. Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary. Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Cleaning windowsills and windows. Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner. Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. Maintain vending closets in a clean, organized and safe manner. Other routine maintenance duties as assigned Assist in managing daily activities of staff. Supervision of the 1st shift janitorial staff. Conduct inspections. Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct. Ensures the proper maintenance of all janitorial equipment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience cleaning and managing a team of housekeeping employees.
  • Six months or more related experience.
  • Good client/customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • The ability to anticipate needs, change goals and direction quickly and multitask.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Must be flexible with working weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • English language
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Experience supervising housekeeping departments of 10+ employees.
  • Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, guests, and clientele, both inside and outside of the organization.
