Position Purpose This position is responsible for the daily cleaning and light preventative maintenance and repair of the building and grounds. You are to ensure that the image of our company is reflected in the appearance and the condition of our equipment and facilities, while maintaining the company’s high standards of safety and cleanliness. Eligibility requirements may apply Essential Functions Daily cleaning duties include, but are not limited to, gather and empty trash; service, clean and supply restrooms. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming, and strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. Clean windows and mirrors. Dust furniture, walls, fixtures and office machines. Sweep out outdoor walkways, trim vegetation/grass and keep grounds free of liter and weeds. Perform light preventative maintenance of the building and grounds. Changing light bulbs. Notify Manager concerning the need for major repairs. Follow manufacturers procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment. Maintain inventory and restock inventory supplies. Pick up and deliver supplies

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and speak clear English in order to communicate with co-workers and the general public.
  • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with, including but not limited to, employees, supervisors, other departments, vendors, and guests.
  • Ability to deal with unpleasant, angry, or discourteous people in a pleasant, calm, courteous manner.
  • Ability to work independently over long periods of time within the scope of established rules and regulations.
  • Must pass pre-employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing.
  • Valid FL Driver’s License with acceptable driving record for the past three years.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of general janitorial and light maintenance preferred
