About the position
The Custodial Helper position at Jefferson Parish Schools involves assisting the plant manager in ensuring the safety, security, cleanliness, and overall appearance of the physical plant. This role is essential for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for students and staff.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of halls and entrances.
- Clean walls and windows.
- Check dressing rooms.
- Clean classroom units as specified in accordance with the working schedule and minimum cleaning schedule specific to school needs.
- Be responsive to the coordinator, plant manager, and/or assistant custodian where appropriate.
- Perform all other duties as required by the plant manager or Coordinator of Maintenance & Custodial Services.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and write.
- Ability to comprehend instructions on the operation of equipment and the use of cleaning chemicals.
