About The Position

This position is located at the Milliken Cushman site in Williamston, SC and reports to the Engineering Services Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting all processes related to the maintenance of the plant's physical structure, equipment, and the production and environmental systems.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a mechanical-related field.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical components and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain schedule, evaluate and maintain records of Preventive Maintenance.
  • Assist area mechanics with troubleshooting various breakdowns.
  • Understand and effectively participate in the plant safety process.
  • Assist the Engineering Services Manager in training, developing, and coaching team members.
  • Foster a working environment that promotes open communication, teamwork and individual engagement to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure safety rules are clearly understood and followed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required equipment service.
  • Assist other engineering associates to perform work as required to keep production machinery and auxiliary equipment in working order.
  • Inform appropriate management and maintenance/production associates of potential mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
