About The Position

The Training Supervisor will have advanced knowledge of all aspects and conditions concerning the At-Home service provision and Vehicle responsibilities for Rooms To Go. The training supervisor must have a complete knowledge of furniture repair techniques and be able to provide training in a coherent manner. The Training Supervisor will be responsible for providing New Hire, Safety, and Advanced training to the field supervisors and service technicians within their region and occasionally other regions.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of Case good Repair and construction.
  • Extensive knowledge of Upholstery and Leather repair and construction.
  • Basic Computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office Suite and Smart Phone App functions for Service technicians.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; however 5 years of field experience is an equivalent.
  • 7+ years of in-person customer service in the field of Furniture repair or similar industry.
  • 2+ years as a supervisor in Rooms to Go Service dept. or 5+ years in a supervisory role for a similar industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Creative mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to Travel in one- and two-week intervals.
  • Maintain an excellent Driving record.
  • Keep abreast of all new products and techniques in the field of Furniture repair.
  • Keep abreast of all Safety standards at all levels of governance.

Responsibilities

  • Excellent verbal communication skills in a one on one and group setting.
  • Written communication skills to document training and provide on-going assessments of trainees' abilities.
  • Develops custom training sessions when necessary for novel situations.
  • Collaborates with management teams to coordinate training events within deadlines.
  • Provides thought provoking, responsive support for field requests and offers solutions that meet local needs while upholding brand standards.
  • Serves as a strategic, relationship-focused point of contact for management and associates with regard to training needs.
  • Supports their team with supply order fulfillment, vehicle recovery and reassignment.
  • Provide DVIR on unassigned vehicles and maintains all vehicle and training room tool inventories.
  • Works with other divisions to ensure that best practices are standardized throughout.
  • Provides support on company-wide key initiatives i.e... Vendor store repairs/retrofits.
  • Performs other duties as required.
