About The Position

Serve as the primary contact for all course and program management processes at the College. This role is essential for ensuring the integrity and functionality of core academic systems impacting curriculum through effective system administration and process oversight. Oversee curriculum business processes, maintain the official course and program inventory, the curriculum archive, and manage catalog updates. Accurately process approved curricula in CourseLeaf, Banner, and DegreeWorks. Act as steward of curriculum records, collaborate with academic departments and governance committees, and coordinate the editing and publication of undergraduate and graduate catalogs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least three years of progressively responsible experience in academic administration or related areas, including work with student information systems
  • extensive knowledge of web-based systems technologies and systems development, implementation, and enhancement
  • strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively work and interact respectfully within a diverse and inclusive environment
  • meticulous attention to detail, critical thinking skills, excellent judgment and decision-making ability required

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Systems Management System administrator for all aspects of CourseLeaf (CAT and CIM), including workflow configuration, maintenance, process improvements, innovation, user training, upgrades, and documentation.
  • Create and maintain new course records in Banner based on approved submissions in CourseLeaf, ensuring accuracy of details, prerequisites, attributes, etc., and compliance with institutional guidelines.
  • Program and maintain DegreeWorks based on approved curriculum changes, including scribing, testing, and collaborating with department chairs for accuracy.
  • Coordinate DegreeWorks updates with Banner and catalog changes to ensure consistency across all systems.
  • System Coordination & Testing Collaborate with the system administrator to manage upgrades, perform testing, and ensure seamless functionality across Banner, DegreeWorks, CourseLeaf, and related platforms.
  • Partner with academic leadership and faculty to ensure catalog and degree audits are delivered as expected.
  • Governance & Compliance Serve on curriculum and policy related committees.
  • Catalog & Documentation Coordinate the review, editing, and publication of undergraduate and graduate catalogs in collaboration with the Provost’s Office and academic schools.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of essential processes, including an operations calendar.
  • Training & Customer Service Serve as a resource for information and training for end users regarding curriculum systems and academic policy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with professionalism and diplomacy in handling sensitive situations.
  • Collaboration & Institutional Support Work with the Registrar to assist with graduation clearance and degree awarding as needed.
  • Participate in Registrar team efforts to deliver excellent service during peak academic calendar periods.
  • Provide analytics in support of decision making as needed.
