About The Position

The Curriculum/Scheduling Analyst position is an Administrative Analyst Specialist role within the Academic Affairs department at California State University, Los Angeles. This full-time position is focused on facilitating the curriculum and course scheduling processes for the unit. The incumbent will serve as the primary course scheduler, manage multiple work priorities, and coordinate projects within or with other units. Responsibilities include problem-solving in curriculum scheduling, planning the schedule building cycle, and serving as the main point of contact for faculty, staff, and students regarding curriculum and scheduling inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in program administration or performing administrative and technical duties.
  • Working knowledge of curriculum and scheduling policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of research and statistical analysis methods.
  • Highly developed quantitative and reasoning skills.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, listening, and interpretive skills.
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Office, GET, 25Live, and Curriculog.
  • Ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques.
  • Ability to organize and plan work and projects, handling multiple priorities.
  • Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty.
  • Demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary course scheduler for the unit.
  • Provide problem-solving techniques in investigating, evaluating, and analyzing curriculum-related issues affecting course scheduling.
  • Plan and lead the schedule building cycle.
  • Assist with term workload review for each term.
  • Coordinate the curriculum revision cycle.
  • Solicit, review, and track changes in Curriculog.
  • Coordinate revisions with the scheduling building cycle.
