About The Position

The curriculum manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs across all childcare sites. This role ensures that curriculum aligns with the organization’s mission, meets regulatory requirements, and promotes high-quality learning experiences for children, at various stages of development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum & instruction, or a related field;
  • Proven experience in curriculum development and educational leadership;
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education and Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF) and state early care and school-age care education standards;
  • Knowledge of early childhood curriculum, such as High Scope, Creative Curriculum, and approaches such as Project-Based Learning, Montessori, and play-based learning;
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines;
  • Familiarity with assessment tools and data-driven instruction;

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in education, curriculum & instruction, or a related field (preferred);
  • Experience working in nonprofit or community-based educational settings is a plus (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs and curriculum across various age groups;
  • Ensuring curriculum aligns with state and federal educational standards, as well as organizational goals;
  • Leading curriculum quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Collaborating with supervisors, instructional coaches, and program directors to enhance student learning outcomes;
  • Collaborating with data team to analyze student performance data that will inform curriculum adjustments and instructional strategies;
  • Collaborating with training and professional development staff on curriculum-related trends and organizational needs;
  • Collaborating with family engagement team to develop resources for parents to reinforce classroom learning;
  • Developing training materials and lead workshops on instructional strategies and child development;
  • Integrating best practices in early childhood & school-age education, cultural inclusivity, and social-emotional learning;
  • Collaborating with community partners to enhance educational offerings and support services;
  • Representing the organization in professional networks and advocacy efforts related to early childhood education;
  • Staying current with educational trends, research, and best practices in curriculum design and early childhood education;
  • Supporting training, enrollment, grant writing and reporting efforts by providing curriculum-related data and narratives;
  • Actively participate in Options for Learning’s annual in-service training;
  • Abiding by all of Options for Learning’s policies;
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
