About The Position

The Curriculum Developer Specialist will collaborate with the management team and program staff to design, develop, and deliver a wide range of learning programs to members and other external stakeholders, including Union labor-management teams and institutions. The role involves using diverse delivery methods such as instructor-led trainings, e-learning, hybrid programs, and webinars. The specialist will develop instructional support materials, including curriculum, eLearning courses, facilitator guides, PowerPoint presentations, and handouts based on adult learning and instructional design principles. The position also requires the use of innovative learning methodologies to increase learner engagement and the facilitation of various learning opportunities at different levels. Additionally, the specialist will evaluate and document the impact of learning programs and identify internal staff training gaps, providing input to the central Organization Development, Talent, and Learning (ODTL) department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, Instructional Technologies, or related field.
  • Minimum four (4) years' equivalent work-related experience required.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills with at least three years' experience working with diverse adult learners.
  • Intermediate skill level in Office 365 including One Drive, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in learning cloud-based software and application, designing and delivering instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning programs.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional technology; experience with an LMS required.
  • Experience with Adobe Captivate or other authoring tools for creating eLearning content is a plus.
  • Effective relationship-building and strong customer service skills required.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
  • Strong time management, organizational, problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with management team and program staff to design, develop, and deliver a wide range of learning programs.

  • Facilitates the delivery of a wide range of learning opportunities at different levels.
  • Develops instruments to evaluate and assess training and development needs.
  • Evaluates and documents impact and results of learning programs.
  • Identifies internal staff training gaps and communicates priorities to ODTL.
  • Provides input to ODTL on curriculum needs and assists with training programs as needed.
  • Provides logistical support for internal staff training.
  • Partners with ODTL on the delivery of specific TEF learning programs.
  • Performs additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership.
