About The Position

Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for temporary faculty positions (full-time one semester, part-time one semester or part-time academic year) as needs arise in the Department of Counseling and Educational Leadership for the Curriculum and Instruction Program. The Curriculum and Instruction program allows students to enhance pedagogical knowledge and skills, to learn more about at risk students, and to design instructional materials that engage young learners and improve student outcomes: https://www.bloomu.edu/academics/programs/curriculum-and-instruction-med Based on the specific needs of the department at the time of appointment, a successful applicant must be qualified to teach graduate level courses. Courses may include: Curriculum Theory and Design, Classroom Environment, Projects, Readings, and Case Studies, Cognition, Motivation, and Social Skills, Topics in Education, Educational Research and Writing, and/or other related courses.   • qualified to teach graduate level courses

Responsibilities

  • plan and deliver instruction through multiple modes of instruction including: face to face, asynchronous, synchronous, distance education, or multi-modal/dual-location teaching
  • hold office hours
  • engage with departmental faculty
  • attend department meetings
  • complete scholarly activities related to the position
  • engage in service activities
