About The Position

Current Product Cost Reduction Engineering Co-op Atmus Filtration Technologies provides engineering experiences for students across a wide range of engineering disciplines and STEM aligned degree programs. Co-op & Intern roles are typically project based and the student will gain a broad range of experiences and will grow as both a person and a professional. Start Date: Spring 2026 (January or February) Length of Role: 8-12 months Education: Enrolled in a Masters program- in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering (may consider others) Responsibilities The Student Engineering Co-op/Interns will gain knowledge and support experienced engineering staff in one or more of the following areas: Research & Development – New Media & Materials, Chemical Systems, Advanced Manufacturing Systems & Processes Product Design / Development / Validation - New Product Development, Current Product Support or Validation/Verification planning for filtration & separation systems Customer Engineering - Application & Customer support, Issue Resolution Test Engineering – Development of new laboratory equipment, procedures, and test methods Reliability - Product Development Risk Assessment & Failure Analysis Data Science – Inferential Data Analysis & Predictive Tool Creation

Requirements

  • Prior industrial experience as a Product Engineer
  • Academic/industrial experience in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE)
  • Cost reduction initiatives either through Process or Design Optimization.
  • Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a graduate degree.
  • Minimum 2.5 or above GPA preferred.
  • Must be able to complete a minimum of 8-months or a maximum of a 12-months commitment.
  • Must be able to complete 40 hours per week.
  • Willingness to learn from others on the job.
