About The Position

As Team Members of the Central Utility Plant team, Central Utility Plant Runners are CRCR Ambassadors and take personal ownership to ensure their actions are in the best interest of the business. Central Utility Plant Runners are responsible for operating various areas, including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment, performing preventive and non-scheduled maintenance, and maintaining safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
  • Must have a valid CA driver's license and have a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems and equipment.
  • Knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, pressure vessels, boiler permits, and boiler controls.
  • Knowledge of testing equipment and ability to diagnose operational malfunctions.
  • Demonstrate strong listening and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Must be able to work independently and maintain a high level of performance.
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining business standards.
  • Demonstrate a flock mentality, focused on teamwork and collaboration with others.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external Guests while leveraging the knowledge of the position and the business, ensuring a clucktastic experience for all.
  • Stay engaged and motivated with the business, department, and all Team Members at all levels while encouraging growth and development of self and others.

  • Be masters of thawing, freezing, and heating up poultry.

Responsibilities

  • Check for the proper functioning of the boiler, chillers, supply and return pumps, fans, cooling tower, water softener, and water recirculation pump operations.
  • Inspect air conditioning and blower systems.
  • Respond to emergency situations and Guest concerns, making emergency repairs and adjustments to the building system components as necessary.
  • Perform inspections on all plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of all buildings and replace filters as necessary.
  • Perform safety checks on related equipment as required while understanding and utilizing safety procedures (such as lock-out/tag-out, etc.) and safety equipment at all times.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and business directives.
  • Safely drive assigned vehicles and equipment.
  • Effectively utilize radio communication systems and departmental codes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
