The Culture Program Shop Technician supports the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe's cultural carving and fabrication efforts by maintaining and repairing tools, equipment, and machinery in the Culture Department's carving shed. This position ensures that all shop machinery, including band saws, sanders, fans, and other handheld tools, are in safe and operable condition. The technician fabricates and modifies tools and equipment to meet the needs of cultural programming. They are responsible for organizing and maintaining shop inventory, handling hazardous materials, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The role requires independent troubleshooting and technical decision-making, as well as collaboration with cultural staff and community members. This position plays a key role in supporting cultural preservation and education by enabling efficient and safe operations of the shop environment.
