About The Position
The position of Cultivation Technician at Ilera Holistic Healthcare is essential for the cultivation and maintenance of cannabis plants. This role involves ensuring the healthy growth and development of cannabis plants through various cultivation tasks. The technician will perform daily tasks related to plant care, including watering, feeding, pruning, and transplanting cannabis plants. Monitoring plant health and growth is a critical aspect of this position, as the technician will need to identify and address any issues such as pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies. In addition to plant care, the Cultivation Technician will follow and adhere to all safety procedures and protocols. Responsibilities include filling, watering, and trimming plants, monitoring their health, and working closely with the Cultivation Manager to ensure proper care, including the application of nutrients and fertilizers. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining proper housekeeping and cleaning practices daily, adhering to regulatory requirements set by the Louisiana Department of Health, and ensuring compliance with security protocols mandated by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Physical demands of the job include the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 lbs, as well as the capability to sit, stand, bend, squat, and walk for extended periods. Effective communication with team members is crucial, and the technician may be required to perform other duties as needed or required.
