About The Position

The Cultivation Manager is responsible for overseeing all cultivation operations at Glass Meadows, ensuring all cannabis plants are grown under optimal conditions and meet the company's standards for quality. This pivotal role involves managing cultivation teams, processes, and technologies to achieve maximum efficiency and compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field preferred.
  • Significant experience in a commercial cannabis or agricultural production facility.
  • Strong understanding of plant biology, soil science, and the specific requirements of cannabis.
  • Proven managerial experience and leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of cannabis legislation and compliance.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
  • Foster a proactive, positive work environment.
  • Commitment to continuing education on cannabis cultivation innovations and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including cold, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust and agricultural chemicals.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the cultivation facility, ensuring that all aspects of plant care, including nutrient intake, irrigation, light schedules, and climate control, are optimally managed.
  • Lead, train, and manage team leaders and technicians across different stages of cultivation from propagation to harvest. Ensure staff adhere to operational protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain strict quality control measures over the cultivation process to ensure the consistency and quality of cannabis production.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of all cultivation activities, including pesticide applications, plant counts, and harvest data.
  • Manage the allocation of supplies, equipment, and human resources to optimize productivity and efficiency in the cultivation process.
  • Implement new technologies and processes to improve plant health and yields. Stay informed about the latest cannabis research and cultivation technologies.
  • Quickly address and troubleshoot cultivation issues, including pest management, nutrient management, and disease control.
