About The Position

We’re looking for a dedicated Cultivation Manager to help lead the daily operations of our 250,000 square foot, state-of-the-art grow facility. In this hands-on role, you’ll support the Cultivation Director in overseeing all stages of plant growth—from clone to harvest—while ensuring our production runs efficiently and meets the highest quality standards. You’ll guide a team of growers and technicians, monitor plant health, manage care schedules, and assist with production planning and compliance. Requirements

  • Degree in horticulture, agriculture, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cannabis cultivation, including clone, veg, and flowering stages.
  • Proven ability to supervise and train cultivation teams.
  • Experience managing personnel, handling conflicts, attendance, and performance issues.
  • Strong knowledge of plant care, nutrient requirements, and pest/disease management.
  • Familiarity with greenhouse environmental controls and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and compliance with cannabis regulations.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Large-scale greenhouse cannabis operations experience required
  • Ability to be on call after hours and weekends to manage the crop and greenhouse systems
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the greenhouse facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have full range of motion and ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including high heat and humidity inside the greenhouse.
  • Ability to work with hands and tools for tasks like pruning, trimming, and repotting plants.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automated greenhouse systems such as Priva, Argus, or Ridder/Hortimax preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clone Production Oversight
  • Under the direction of the Cultivation Director, oversee propagation techniques and ensure the health of clones.
  • Maintain accurate records of clone success rates, strains, and plant care protocols.
  • Coordinate with the cultivation team to ensure timely cloning and planting schedules.
  • Vegetative Stage Oversite
  • Oversee plant care in the vegetative stage, including nutrient delivery, light cycles, and environmental conditions.
  • Train staff on proper pruning, trimming, and pest management techniques.
  • Monitor plant growth and prepare plants for the transition to the flower stage.
  • Mother Plant Care
  • Oversee mother plant health, ensuring optimal growth conditions and genetic preservation.
  • Implement pruning and care schedules to ensure continuous production of high-quality clones.
  • Monitor pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
  • Flowering Production
  • Supervise plant care in the flower phase, including irrigation, feeding, light schedules, and environmental controls.
  • Ensure plants are maintained according to strain-specific requirements.
  • Manage pest control programs and harvest timing to ensure optimal yields and quality.
  • Supervisor Duties
  • Assists in training and supervision of cultivation technicians in best practices for plant care, including cloning, pruning, defoliation, and any other plant maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Support staff development through continuous learning opportunities and performance feedback.
  • Facility Management
  • Assist in the maintenance and operation of cultivation equipment such as lighting, irrigation systems, and wet wall systems.
  • Work closely with the Cultivation Direc torto identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of workspaces, tools, and growing areas.
  • Data Collection and Reporting
  • Record and analyze plant growth data, yield outcomes, and cultivation metrics.
  • Assist in preparing reports for the Cultivation Director on production outputs, plant health, and any operational challenges.
  • Compliance and Quality Control
  • Ensure all cultivation activities comply with state and local cannabis cultivation regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain records related to pesticide use, nutrient inputs, and environmental controls.
  • Ensure plants meet company standards for quality, potency, and purity.
