About The Position

The Cultivation Lead is responsible for proper leadership of a team of up to 10 Cultivation Technicians ensuring proper plant health. The Cultivation Lead performs their duties in compliance with the company policy, laws and rules governed by the State. This position reports directly to the Cultivation Supervisor(s).

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, distribution, warehouse, or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow strict policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; works well with peers and leadership alike.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment with frequent feedback.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer applications.
  • Willingness to learn and maintain knowledge of state/local cannabis regulations, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Registered Agent Card issued by the state of operation.
  • Must remain compliant with all regulatory requirements for employment in the cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior technician on the floor, supporting cultivation tasks while providing direction, guidance, and mentorship to up to 10 team members.
  • Track individual and team metrics related to pace, quality, and accuracy, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and correctly.
  • Organize, delegate, and prioritize daily tasks to meet production goals and respond to operational needs.
  • Act as the go-to resource for technicians in the absence of the supervisor, ensuring that all team members are supported and that operations continue smoothly.
  • Maintain full working knowledge of all cultivation processes and SOPs to effectively assist, coach, and troubleshoot with team members during daily operations.
  • Report on daily activities to the supervisors.
  • Monitor each team member's strengths and areas for improvement. Communicate observations to supervisors to support targeted training and ongoing development.
