What You Will Be Doing: Involved in various department functions and activities for the purpose of learning Shelter-specific policies, procedures, and methods of conducting business. Exposure to many facets of department activities. Assist department with regular work and may be assigned to special projects as appropriate. Must be a current, full time college student at the sophomore or junior level, also enrolled full time for Fall 2026. Time commitment required is 8-10 weeks of on-the-job training learning Shelter policies, procedures, and computer systems within the assigned department. Must be available to travel to Home Office in Columbia, MO June 15th -19th and July 20th – 24th.
Requirements
- Must be a current, full time college student at the sophomore or junior level, also enrolled full time for Fall 2026.
- Time commitment required is 8-10 weeks of on-the-job training learning Shelter policies, procedures, and computer systems within the assigned department.
- Must be available to travel to Home Office in Columbia, MO June 15th -19th and July 20th – 24th.
- Good personal computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain work schedule and work well with others in an office or field environment.
