Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; Must be at least 18 yrs. of age
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling
- Ability to work with large quantities of food
- Team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Passion for serving seniors and honoring their preferences
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing restaurant-quality meals that are both nutritious and beautifully presented
- Support the Chef and Culinary Director with daily meal preparation and service
- Wash, peel, cut, and prepare ingredients for cooking
- Help cook a variety of foods (baking, roasting, sautéing, steaming, etc.)
- Prepare salads, cold plates, sandwiches, and beverages
- Ensure meals meet special dietary needs and resident preferences
- Plate and garnish meals and desserts with care and attention to detail
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies
