About The Position

The Culinary Lead at CAVA is responsible for ensuring food quality and safety while leading and developing kitchen teams. This role emphasizes teamwork, coaching, and operational excellence in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Culinary Lead will also engage in food and beverage management tasks, including inventory organization and ordering, while fostering a positive and growth-oriented culture among team members.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of coaching and developing team members.
  • Ability to cross train across the restaurant to ensure rapid growth.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a culinary leadership role.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the grill and prep teams and Special Ops trainers.
  • Be responsible for opening or closing the restaurant.
  • Learn basic food and beverage management, including ordering and inventory organization.
  • Develop new leadership skills to lead the team.
  • Assist with any additional duties assigned.
