About The Position

The Culinary Intern will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic kitchen environment, working alongside professional chefs across various restaurant outlets and banquet operations. This position provides a unique opportunity to develop technical skills, kitchen efficiency, and an understanding of both daily restaurant service and large-scale event execution.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Culinary Arts program
  • Passion for culinary arts, with a strong desire to learn and grow in a professional kitchen.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to take direction.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of menus across multiple kitchen outlets, including banquets, restaurants, and special events.
  • Support chefs in maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Learn and apply proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work in various kitchen stations, including hot and cold prep, garde manger, and line cooking.
  • Assist with inventory management, receiving deliveries, and proper storage of ingredients.
  • Gain experience in knife skills, sauce preparation, butchery, and station organization.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for menu development and process improvements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with kitchen sanitation protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless dining and event execution.
