About The Position

We have openings for Culinary & Hospitality Interns this summer. Hospitality Internship Join our hospitality team and gain hands-on experience working alongside industry professionals across diverse functions. This internship is designed to develop your skills and competencies to thrive in the fast-paced world of hospitality and contract food service. You’ll work closely with leadership within your sector and account, gaining exposure to operations, marketing, guest services, sales and catering, problem-solving, innovation, and client relationship management. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop foundational hospitality skills while working in a variety of operational settings, setting you up for a successful career in the field. As a Culinary Intern, you’ll be immersed in the day-to-day operations of contract food service, developing practical skills and industry insight that will set the stage for your future success. Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college/university.
  • Genuine interest in the hospitality and service industry
  • Experience, knowledge, or studies related to hospitality (preferred but not required)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Genuine interest in culinary arts and the hospitality industry
  • Enrolled in a culinary program or relevant coursework (preferred, not required)
  • Basic communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
  • The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
  • The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences and client relations
  • Provide operational support across front-of-house, back-of-house, catering, marketing, and administrative functions
  • Support the execution of operational standards and contractual commitments
  • Assist with financial activities, including profit & loss and loss prevention
  • Help ensure safety, quality assurance, and compliance with food safety standards
  • Participate in associate learning and development initiatives
  • Gain experience in people management, including scheduling and time management
  • Assist with inventory management and loss prevention
  • Support daily culinary operations including food preparation, service, and kitchen organization
  • Execute menu items following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and uniform standards
  • Assist with receiving, storage, inventory, and purchasing
  • Contribute to guest service excellence, innovation, and problem-solving
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Participate in associate learning and development activities
  • Gain exposure to the business side of food service, including financials and quality assurance
