We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the Culinary Tech role at our food manufacturing facility located at 90 Stemmers Lane, Westampton, NJ 08060. The primary responsibilities of this role is work with the cross functional commercialization team to assist in all phases of product development from concept to launch, with a strong focus on the product's life cycle and the data requirements associated . This role requires technical expertise, a passion for hands-on work, and a demonstrated ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external partners, while adapting in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3-4 years previous R & D test kitchen experience required.
  • Strong data collection, communication and problem-solving skills required
  • Computer skills including knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite and Asana project management tools or similar software
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. and climb stairs without issue
  • Experience in all types of foods, cuisines, sauces, and dressings
  • Agile problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Resilient attitude and ability to react to changing priorities
  • Effective oral and written communications
  • Demonstrate precise, organized, and efficient work
  • Adhere to all GMP guidelines and safety procedures
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations

Nice To Haves

  • PCQI Certification a plus
  • Relevant certification (e.g.) Certified Food Scientist

Responsibilities

  • Leads in managing the current internal shelf-life program internally on the East Coast.
  • Works with outside lab(s) to assimilate, and communicate lab results.
  • Assist with the implementation of operational materials for new product launches.
  • Leads in the conducting of product reviews and internal taste panel and sensory evaluations.
  • Helps to create working product specifications with a focus on sustainable metrics and guidelines.
  • Leads in the documentation of heating instructions for all finished goods.
  • Helps manage and update all documents over the product's life cycle.
  • Works in conjunction with the Commercialization and R&D Chefs, including rotating and restocking inventory, equipment organization and cleanliness, receiving packages, labeling, packaging, and shipping samples, and participation in the company safety team.
