We are seeking a dedicated Culinary/Dietary Aide to join our team! The Dietary Aide / Server ensures our residents and guests receive nutritious meals, performs designated work and cleaning routines for the Dietary Department, and helps to create a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience in our communities.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to follow diet orders/tray cards and work assignments
  • Ability to ensure meal orders are delivered accurately and special requests/dietary restrictions are followed
  • Ability to perform defined work routines
  • Ability to assist with cleaning routines and setting up for next meal
  • Ability to follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Ability to assist in receiving and storing food and supplies
  • Ability to attend scheduled department meetings and educational programs
  • Ability to follow defined safety codes while performing duties
  • Ability to follow Infection Control procedures
  • Ability to understand community’s fire and disaster plans and follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies
  • Knowledgeable of federal, state, and community’s rules, regulations, policies and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • High school graduate or have an equivalent education (GED)
  • Serv Safe certification

Responsibilities

  • Helps create a restaurant-style dining experience through serving meals, customer service, and collaboration.
  • Follows written and oral instructions, follow diet orders/tray cards and work assignments.
  • Ensures that meal orders are delivered accurately, and any special request or dietary restrictions are noted and followed.
  • Performs defined work routines.
  • Assists with cleaning routines after meals have ended and setting up for next meal.
  • Follows proper food safety and sanitation procedures and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assists in receiving and storing food and supplies as directed by Culinary Director.
  • Attends scheduled department meetings.
  • Attends educational programs.
  • Follows defined safety codes while performing duties.
  • Follows Infection Control procedures.
  • Understands community’s fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies.
  • Be knowledgeable of federal, state, and community’s rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
