About The Position

Requirements

  • Food Handler Permit (as required by State) or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure communication in the kitchen by calling out orders and getting the status on dishes.
  • Inform room service staff when certain dishes or ingredients have run out.
  • Pass food requests from the call center to room service.
  • Ensure all orders are completed in time and with the correct priority.
  • Keep storage and prep areas clean, neat, and well-stocked.
  • Ensure all staff adheres to health and safety standards.
  • Handle complaints and look for solutions.
  • Ensure the efficient flow of orders.
  • Assist in the final preparation of dishes.
  • Check dishes before delivery for accuracy and presentation.
  • Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning.
  • Transfer important information between the kitchen and the room service staff.
  • Perform food prep as needed.
  • Support other tasks as needed.
