About The Position

Direct supervision of campers for ages 5-10. Supports the Chef Instructor in the daily supervision and operation of Culinary Camps. This role focuses on maintaining safety, organization, and positive behavior in a kitchen-based camp setting. The counselor assists with activities, monitors camper engagement, enforces kitchen safety guidelines, and helps ensure a clean, controlled, and safe culinary environment. Must be able to take directions, problem solve. Must be able to work well with children and adults. Camp counselor is responsible for the safety of all campers.

Requirements

Candidates should be in good physical condition as activities with campers are moderately to highly physical.
Mandatory orientation is required.

Nice To Haves

Prior childcare experience preferred.
Experience working in a kitchen, cooking/baking is desired.
Driver License preferred

Responsibilities

Be creative and collaborate as a member of a team.
Take direction from supervisors and camp directors.
Able to establish a tone of high energy for camp/campers. Be able to be creative in regards to researching new games, ideas, activities.
Communicate with and between supervisors, participants in regards to campers.
Show professionalism, energy, responsibility, dependability, and have the ability to multi-task.
Set up needed materials, equipment, and other items for programs/activities.
Must be able to commit to a full day of (7-9 hours per day) and a minimum of 7 weeks out of the 10-week summer.
Must be willing to work at East Roswell Park.
