Prepares all foods in accordance to standard recipes. Visually inspects, selects, and uses only food items of the highest quality in the preparation of all menu items. Checks and controls the proper storage of product and portion control including food rotation. Keeps all refrigeration, storage and working areas in clean working condition to comply with health department and hotel regulations. Ensures all equipment is clean and in proper working condition. Reads and employs basic math skills to appropriately prepare items according to recipes. This role is critical to maintaining the luxury standard and reputation of The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa while upholding the highest levels of discretion and professionalism.
