About The Position

The Culinary Attendant, EDR is required to maintain the food stations in the EDR. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the product is fresh and stocked at the levels determined by the Culinary Shift Manager on duty. Other responsibilities include set up, break down and replenishment of the food and beverage stations. The EDR Attendant should be polite, knowledgeable, neatly groomed and possess the ability to interact with employees with enduring patience and understanding. They must also ensure their work area is clean and organized. This is considered to be an entry level position. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service preferred.
  • Experience not required.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, write and speak effectively to employees as well as customers.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the casino.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
  • Work involves moderate exposure to high temperatures and/or loud noises.
  • Moderate physical activity is required along with the handling of objects up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Work environment involves some exposure to physical risk, which requires following basic safety precautions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service of food and beverage to all casino associates. Demonstrate a courteous and efficient attitude.
  • Report to work well-groomed and in full uniform on time.
  • Have a strong understanding of the philosophy and goals associated with the Employee Dining Room and are supportive of them at all times.
  • Perform any duties assigned by the manager or shift manager.
  • Assist all other employees in performing their duties whenever required.
  • Serve all associates according to established standards of quality. (i.e. answer guest’s questions, be polite and smile at all times, etc.).
  • Work in a designated area and be attentive to guests at all times and exceeds guest’s expectations.
  • Relay any guest complaint and/or compliments to manager or supervisor on duty.
  • Adhere to food and beverage policies, procedures, and liquor laws.
  • Maintain full knowledge of the menu and daily specials.
  • Keep name tag clearly visible.
  • Maintain clean work areas, utensils and equipment.
  • Complete production sheets and other records as required.
  • Prepare food in a safe manner dictated by company standards and policies.
  • Maintain strict food standards of the highest quality.
  • Maintain proper food temperatures and complete HACCAP forms according to government regulations.
  • Work in harmony with others under a strenuous environment.
  • Greet guests as eye contact is made.
  • Maintain cleanliness of uniform at all times.
  • Keep station clean and free of debris at all times.
  • Complete designated opening and closing side work daily and check with manager or shift manager before leaving.
  • Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
  • Attend all necessary meetings.

  • Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.
